Ballet:

Preschool Ballet: Preschool-aged (commencing Kindergarten in 2027 or 2026).

Pre-Primary: Kindergarten-aged (commencing Kindergarten in 2026, 5 years old)

Primary: Students who did Pre-Primary in 2025, or new students who are in Year 1 at school (6 years old)

Grade 1: Students who did Primary in 2025, or new students who are in Year 2 or above at school (7-8 years old)

Grade 2: Students who did Grade 1 in 2025, or new students who are in Year 3 or above at school (8-9 years old)

Grade 3: Students who did Grade 2 in 2025, or new students who are in Year 4 or above at school (8-9 years old)

Grade 4: Students who did Grade 3 in 2025, or new students who are in Year 5 or above at school (9-10 years old)

Grade 5: Students who did Grade 4 in 2025, or new students who are in Year 6 or above at school (10-11 years old)

After Grade 5, students move on to Intermediate Foundation and Grade 6, followed by Intermediate and Grade 7 > Advanced Foundation and Grade 8 > Advanced 1 > Advanced 2.

It is a requirement for all RAD Ballet students in Grades 1 and above to attend 2x classes per week. 

Everyone from Grade 5 and up is also strongly encouraged to attend at least one class of the grade above. 

 

Jazz (based on their ballet class age, see above):

Junior: Pre-Primary - Grade 1 ballet-aged students (Ages 5-7)

Intermediate: Grades 2 - 5 ballet-aged students (Ages 8-11)

Senior: Vocational ballet (Inter Found +)

 

Acro:

Junior: Acrobatic Arts Primary/Level 1

Intermediate: Acrobatic Arts Levels 2 - 4

Senior: Acrobatic Arts Levels 5+

It is strongly suggested (by us, and by Acrobatic Arts whose Syllabus we teach) that Acro students also take at least one dance class each week.

Tap:

Level 1: For beginners (pre-primary - Grade 1)

Level 2: For those who did Level 1 in 2025

Level 4: For those who did Level 3 in 2025

Senior Tap (Levels 4&5): For senior students new to tap, and those who did level 4 in 2025

Advanced Tap (Levels 7&8): For those who did Levels 6/7 in 2025

 

Lyrical & Contemporary:

Junior: Grades 1-3 Ballet

Intermediate: Grades 4-5 Ballet

Senior: Vocational ballet (Inter Found +)

 

Troupe (Performance Team):

Junior: 10/u (ages 7-10 as at 1 January 2026)

Intermediate: 14/u (ages 11-14 as at 1 January 2026)

Senior: 13 yrs + (or by invitation if younger)
