Which class is right for me?
Ballet:
Tiny Tots: 2-3 year-olds who have not yet commenced Preschool in 2025 (ie. starting Preschool in 2026 or 2027).
Preschool Ballet: Preschool-aged (commencing Kindergarten in 2026).
Pre-Primary: Kindergarten-aged (commencing Kindergarten in 2025, 5 years old)
Primary: Students who did Pre-Primary in 2024, or new students who are in Year 1 at school (6 years old)
Grade 1: Students who did Primary in 2024, or new students who are in Year 2 or above at school (7-8 years old)
Grade 2: Students who did Grade 1 in 2024, or new students who are in Year 3 or above at school (8-9 years old)
Grade 3: Students who did Grade 2 in 2024, or new students who are in Year 4 or above at school (8-9 years old)
Grade 4: Students who did Grade 3 in 2024, or new students who are in Year 5 or above at school (9-10 years old)
Grade 5: Students who did Grade 4 in 2024, or new students who are in Year 6 or above at school (10-11 years old)
After Grade 5, students move on to Intermediate Foundation and Grade 6, followed by Intermediate and Grade 7 > Advanced Foundation and Grade 8 > Advanced 1 > Advanced 2.

It is a requirement for all RAD Ballet students in Grades 1 and above to attend 2x classes per week.
Everyone from Grade 5 and up is also strongly encouraged to attend at least one class of the grade above.
Jazz (based on their ballet class age, see above):
Junior: Pre-Primary - Grade 1 ballet-aged students
Intermediate: Grades 2-4
Senior: Grade 5+
Acro:
Junior: Ages 5-7, and 8 year-olds who are brand new to acro.
Intermediate: Ages 8-11 (OR students who have been asked to move up a level from Junior Acro)
Senior: Ages 12+
It is strongly suggested (by us, and by Acrobatic Arts whose Syllabus we teach) that Acro students also take at least one dance class each week.

Tap:
Junior Tap (Level 1): For Pre-Primary & Primary Ballet Students
Level 3: For those who did their Level 2 Exam in 2024
Level 4: For those who did Level 3 in 2024
Level 7: For those who did Level 6 in 2024
Lyrical & Contemporary:
Intermediate: Grades 1-4 Ballet
Senior: Grade 5+
Musical Theatre:
Grade 5 Ballet and up (approx. ages 10+).
Conditioning:
Recommended for all students aged 10+
Troupe (Performance Team):
Junior: 8/u (ages 6-8 as at 1 January 2025)
Intermediate: 14/u (ages 9-14 as at 1 January 2025)
Senior: 13 yrs + (or by invitation if younger)
